Casualty Friday
Casualty Friday is a basic block out for a series of levels made in Unreal 4 over the course of about one week. The gameplay, level layouts, and all interactions were done using stock Unreal assets and the Blueprint system. Some scripting was used, but I was much less experienced with that at this time.
The primary mechanic is turning “on” and “off” different parts of the level. The pressers in the first room and the robots in the next two rooms can be used like this. turning “off” an object freezes the current animation running and changes a few other things.
Although the blockout suffers from a few glitches in the gameplay, I’m still happy I was able to get so much done in such a short period of time by myself.
